History Behind the brand:
1492 Jerez Legacy” was created to honor Rodrigo de Jerez, He was crewmen who sailed to the americas on the “Santa Maria”, as part of Christopher Columbus first voyage across the atlantic ocean in 1492. He is credited with being the first European smoker.
Jerez observed natives smoking, they made rolls of palm and corn leaves with tobacco inside, one would light one side and absorb the smoke out of the other side.
Jerez picked up the tobacco smoking habit, when he returned to Europe, he introduce the habit to his home town that later expanded to the new world. This cigar pays honor to Jerez with a complex blend that provides rich flavours and excellent aroma.
